Day 5 brought us British success, with Cameron Norrie and Sonny Kartal progressing. Raducanu also showed that she can compete with the best players in the world, with Alcaraz carrying on doing what he does best. Day 6 will be looking to match yesterday's brilliance, so let's see what we have in store.
Centre Court (1.30pm)
Jannik Sinner (ITA) *1 vs Pedro Martinez (ESP) – Without breaking a sweat, Sinner has looked a dominant force in his bid to win his first Wimbledon title. His opponent, Martinez, has found similar success so far, winning both of his opening games with relative ease, but with the world No. 1 in his way, it’s a tough ask for the Spaniard to overcome this match.
Iga Swiatek (POL) *8 vs Danielle Collins (USA) – These two last met two months ago on the gritty red clay of Rome, in which Collins came out victorious. They now find themselves battling it out on the vibrant grass of Wimbledon, with Swiatek looking at her best once again. Will Collins be able to repeat her successes, or will Swiatek show why she is one of women’s tennis’s superstars?
Miomir Kecmanovic (SRB) vs Novak Djokovic (SRB) *6 – Djokovic will be looking for another dominant performance as he takes on Kecmanovic in the third round. With many believing this will be the year Novak wins his eighth Wimbledon title, this game should be light work for him.
No 1 Court (1pm)
Mirra Andreeva *7 vs Hailey Baptiste (USA) – Andreeva has looked to be a standout player in this year’s tournament and will be looking to go even further against the USA’s Baptiste. The Russian has only made it past the third round once at Wimbledon and will hope that her performances so far will propel her into the fourth round once more.
Barbora Krejcikova (CZE) 17 vs Emma Navarro (USA) 10 – One of the top matches today, these two have never met on tour before but will no doubt give us an entertaining matchup. Krejcikova is still on the hunt to retain her Wimbledon title and will struggle against last year's quarter finalist. But with her proven skills on grass, expect a strong performance.
Ben Shelton (USA) *10 vs Marton Fucsovics (HUN) – Shelton comes off the back of a blistering win against Hijikata in round two, having to finish the game yesterday due to suspended play on Thursday, but doing so in only 69 seconds. Although he won’t be able to finish this game in the same time, he faces the Hungarian, Fuscovics, hungry for more success after his mammoth 5-set battle against Monfils last round. Expect a high-octane game.
No 2 Court (11am)
Clara Tauson (DEN) 23 vs Elena Rybakina (KAZ) 11 – Rybakina will be looking to back her successes on grass again after a brilliant display in the second round against Sakkari. Her opponent, Tauson, has shown glimpses of her talent this year, but the Kazakhstan powerhouse will most likely move on stylishly to the next round.
Alex de Minaur (AUS) *11 vs August Holmgren (DEN) – The Australian is only third to Sinner and Alcaraz when it comes to wins on tour this year and will be hoping for another dominant showcase today against his opponent, Holmgren. Holmgren came into this tournament as a qualifier and has shown to be a new top talent, but this match will prove to be a step too far for him.
No 3 Court
Daria Kasatkina (AUS) 16 vs Liudmila Samsonova 19
Grigor Dimitrov (BUL) *19 vs Sebastian Ofner (AUT)
Court 12
Flavio Cobolli (ITA) 22 vs Jakub Mensik (CZE) 15
