Wimbledon Finals: Order of Play Today: Day 14 - 13th July 2025

Day 13 gave us British history, as the doubles pairing of Cash and Glasspool won their men's doubles match to be the first to do so since the all-British pairing of Pat Hughes and Raymond Tuckey in 1936. It was an unfortunate outing for Amanda Anisimova in the women's singles, however, losing 6-0, 6-0 to the outstanding Iga Swiatek. After such an incredible tournament, it was very sad to see it end so quickly, but be sure that Anisimova will be back to try again. Aside from all this, we come down to the final day, and what a final day it is. The ladies doubles match promises high-octane action, building up to the main event in Alcaraz versus Sinner. The two now giants of men's tennis will battle it out for Wimbledon glory, but who has the extra edge? Let's find out.

Centre Court (1.30pm)

Ladies' Doubles Final

Su-Wei Hsieh (TPE) / Jelena Ostapenko (LAT) *4 vs Veronika Kudermetova / Elise Mertens (BEL) *8 – It’s tough to say who will come out on top in this matchup. Both pairings have had relatively tough outings so far. Kudermentova and Mertens came from a set down in the semi-finals to overcome their opponents 2-1. This will surely give them confidence when coming up against the on-paper favourites in Hsieh and Ostapenko. Even though the No.4 seeds haven’t played with each other for many years, they both have very successful doubles achievements, with Hsieh having won Wimbledon with another partner in 2023 and Ostapenko winning the US Open in 2024 with her partner. Yet with Mertens Wimbledon doubles trophy in 2021, she and her partner won’t be walked over easily. Although it will be challenging for the No. 8 seeds to defeat them, their impressive tournament records ensure that this match will endure.

Gentlemen's Singles Final (4pm)

Jannik Sinner (ITA) *1 vs Carlos Alcaraz (ESP) *2 – You couldn’t have really asked for a better final. The No. 1 and 2 seeds meet once again after their monumental battle 2 months ago at the French Open. Sinner gave no chances to Novak Djokovic in the semi-final, obliterating him in three sets to book his place in his first-ever Wimbledon final. But with that lack of experience, will he be able to take his revenge on the 2-time Wimbledon champion, Carlos Alcaraz? Looking for his third consecutive title, the Spaniard will use all of his tricks to take out the Italian once more. Alcaraz skilfully took out Taylor Fritz in the last round, turning up the gears once more and destroying any hope the American had of winning. In their last four meetings at Slams, three of the matches have gone five sets, with Alcaraz winning all of them. The only one that didn't go the distance? In 2022 when Sinner won in the round of 16. With these two a league ahead of anyone in men’s tennis right now, you just never know who might come out on top. But be sure to know that once they start moving, it’s a spectacle the likes of which we have not seen since the battles between Federer and Nadal. Expect another complete exhibition of skill and power once more.
